Wilderness Experience 4 – the son identity in the wilderness

There is a new twist in the following session. It was edited and published after nine sessions were taught already. In this session we will understand the relationship of the son with the wilderness. We will also learn about the Holy Ghost and wilderness. Let’s go and listen:

Good morning to everyone
There is a question that rings in the mind of a believer in Christ all the time. This question challenges Bishops Deacons and church attendants alike. It has no discrimination it attacks everyone equally.
“Who do you think you are?”
“You are nothing!”
“I will show them who I am!” You reply.
And that my friend is the beginning of the most miserable life journey.

Some have spent 20 years just trying to show a very useless little town who
they are. Some spent 15 years trying to show their church members who they are. Some have spent 10 years until they were fired trying to show colleagues at work who they are. Some spent lifetime trying to prove to ex wife who they “really” are!

Luke 4:1-4
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Jesus begins His ministry and is Full of the Holy Ghost; but now they Holy Ghost does not lead Him to the place of plenty and prosperity. The Holy Ghost leads Him to the wilderness!
There are many who; after great prophecies and Holy Ghost filling; they want to go to a red carpet and show people “who they are!”
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Jesus did not decide to go to the wilderness imitating John who baptized him. He was led by the Holy Ghost.

There are many who do a spiritual activity mimicking others whom they
admire and say: The Holy Ghost leads me to do this. To be led by the Holy Ghost is not to follow your passion but you become obedient to the Holy Ghost as He allows situations unfavorable to you unfold.

You find yourself in the wilderness today and you think demons have led you there and you go look for deliverance. Everyone is delivered out of the wilderness and they testify but you remain there! Satan never comes anywhere and ask you “If you are a son of God!”, he will wait until you have stayed long enough in the wilderness.

Jesus was led by the Holy Ghost in the wilderness and was going to wait until the Holy Ghost is done with Him then take Him out of the wilderness. And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Jesus did not go to the wilderness for a 40 day fast to get Holy Ghost Power; He went in there being full of the Holy Ghost already and was led by the same Holy Ghost.

You were praying more in the Holy Ghost and thought good times will come. But the Holy Ghost led you to the wilderness. You need to know that Jesus did not take Himself to the wilderness in order to meet the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost who was full in Him took him to the Wilderness.
Others find themselves in the wilderness and call for the Holy Ghost to take them out of the wilderness. Others go to the wilderness in hopes of meeting the Holy Ghost there and fill them with power.

Your wilderness is the absence of resources around you. Just at that time Satan will visit you and say: Who do you think you are? It is not the abundance of resources that will prove who you are but it is your nothingness and your wilderness that will prove who you are.

The Holy Ghost will take you to the wilderness so as to make a new thing. You are A New Thing – A Son.

Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.

The Holy Ghost took Jesus to His Nothingness in the wilderness in order to begin A New Thing – The Son.

Romans 8:14-15
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The wilderness is a fuel to our sonship.
The wilderness does not discourage sons but it elevates the glory in sons of glory.

We don’t turn stones into bread in the wilderness but we live by every word that comes out of the mouth of God and Newness shall “Spring Forth!” I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert. How will you know this way if you are not in the wilderness?

You have come to the wilderness to see the Way of the Sons.
In Jordan The Son was declared but in the Wilderness The Son was Manifested. In Jordan The Son was declared but in the Wilderness The Son was Manifested.

I pray that today’s word will have reached many eyes and ears. We have looked at wilderness from the eyes of Isaiah as well as the eyes of Luke.
That is Isaiah 43 and Luke 4.

We have seen how prophets relate with wilderness.
We have also seen how sons relate with the wilderness.
We will also study how Israel related with the wilderness.

The Holy Ghost took Israel to go through the Wilderness for 40 years and the Holy Spirit took Jesus to Wilderness for 40 days.
The Orphan stayed in Wilderness for 40 years and the Son stayed in Wilderness for 40 days.

Remember I said to you in Jordan river a son is announced but in the Wilderness a Son is Manifested.
Jesus the New Testament Son began in Jordan and finished in the Wilderness. Israel the Old Testament Son began in the Wilderness and ended in Jordan. Jesus was from the Promised Land (Heaven) and Israel was going to Promised Land (Canaan).
Sons are from Heaven and Orphans are still going to Heaven.

The New Testament Son is going and doing things in the opposite direction to the Old Testament son.
We are not working to be saved from Wilderness but Wilderness is saved when we arrive.
We are not serving God to have these things; we already have them inside us (Jordan) and Wilderness has come to Manifest them.
Your Wilderness shall not have serpents and scorpions. You are the Bronze serpent in your wilderness. Other serpents will lose their power in your Wilderness.

Jesus came to save the Wilderness – Do A New Thing. He did not cry to be saved from the Wilderness.
You have come to your Wilderness to do a New Thing. Jesus first visited Wilderness as Bronze serpent for 40 days in the Old Testament and He came back in the flesh to visit the wilderness for another 40 days. Jesus has come to visit your Wilderness.

Shalom
