Chapter 5 brings together chapter 1 to chapter 4. Great emphasis here is on the move of the Holy Ghost to new believers vs the same move to mature believers. This explains the move of God in the Pentecostal era and the move in the Prophetic and Apostolic era. As this is published we had nine sessions that were already taught in the conference. Let’s go and hear:
We shall summarize.
We have been dealing with a subject called Wilderness Experience. We read Isaiah 43 when God says He will make a new thing. Now He said we need not remember any of the things of old nor consider the former things. To remember and to consider are both of mental origin.
For the knew thing to happen God says “shall ye not know it?”
To know and to remember are both meaning to become one with the New Thing. Re- Member means to join yourself to become one member. He says if we remain one member with the things of old or former things; we shall be working against the new thing.
The secret code to manifest the new thing is to Remember and to Know.
The new thing needs you to come with Nothing. You can not come with Old things. You can not come with former things. You see former things are both good and bad. Therefore you don’t even need to come with good old things.
Therefore for you to be a perfect candidate that will come with nothing; God will put you in the Wilderness.
For Israel to prepare for the new thing in Canaan they had to go through
the Wilderness. Wilderness had to empty all former things of Egypt. Even the good former things. Wilderness forces you to only look in two directions:
You either look UP to God or you look WITHIN to God.
Now when you look up God will RAIN on you.
When you look within God will Spring Forth from within.
In Israel God Rained on Them as Manna. That is when they came from Bondage in Egypt. This is for all the New Born in Christ. They are only ready for the Holy Ghost and Word to Rain Down on them.
But when they came from Babylon they were to look for a different Wilderness Experience.
In this Wilderness Experience God shall Spring Forth from within. Because you are now a Mature Christian the Word has been planted in you.
You see when you stand in Wilderness as Mature Believer it is different
from an unbeliever who is in his Wilderness and desire to come to Christ. The nonbeliever has nothing to look within therefore he must look OUTSIDE and he must look UP.
But as you stand at the alter call with him it is expected of you to look
within because the Word has been planted in you. They are both Wilderness Experiences but one looks UP and the other looks WITHIN.
Now for the nonbeliever things may be fast because he comes with NOTHING.
But for the mature believer the manifestation may be slow because he carries FORMER REVIVAL. He carries FORMER TRADITION. He brings former manifestation of God.
Then we see the new believer testifying. But for the old believer there is no testimony yet. This is all Gods doing.
Those who come from Egypt are not the same as those who come from Babylon. The move of God is not the same for both.
That is why mature christians lose it and new christians get it. We look within! They look without. Same man of grace will lay hand on you.
As he lays the hand Spirit Rains Down on the New Believer.
And as the same man lays hand on you the Spirit Spring Forth from your heart.
Now for the Manna they did not have to prepare their minds.
They were from Egypt and they knew nothing. Manna? What is this? That’s the meaning of Manna.
But when you come from Babylon you don’t say Manna? Because this will not Rain Down, Now here YOU NEED TO KNOW. Here YOU NEED TO REMEMBER and REMEMBER NOT.
When you are new to Christ they say to you “Come just as you are! Empty yourself!”
But in Mature Christians they say: Look Within you! Come to Yourself Prodigal Son!
And when He came to Himself!
Something Sprang Forth.
Shall it not Spring Forth?
Shall you not Know It?
This is the Wilderness Experience of the Mature Believer.
1. It must Spring Forth
2. You must Know It
The following is the Wilderness of the New Believer:
1. It must Rain Down (Manna)
2. They must not know it (Manna?)
You need to discern where you are.
Which move of God are you expecting?
Summary for the Mature Sons:
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.
Summary for the New Believers:
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every [word] that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Those who have ears let them hear what the Spirit has to say. Shalom.
